Dewey’s 24-Hour Read-a-thon is an international reading challenge where everyone participates at the same time. For 24 hours, participants read books, post on their blogs (and/or social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, etc.) about their reading, and visit other readers’ blogs. Participants also take part in mini-challenges throughout the day and win prizes.
I have signed up as a reader.
Are you participating? What are you going to read?
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
Atlanta, GA, USA
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
I didn’t get a chance to read Fallen by Stacy Claflin during the Fraterfest Read-aThon. I plan to get to it today. Check out my interview with the author and get the link for a free ebook copy via Amazon.
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
A bag of granny smith apples
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
This is my second Dewey’s Read-a-Thon. I participated in April 2013.
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today?
I have my snacks and meals ready to go ahead of time. See my post Hello, Dewey? Have Back-up List, No Food from the last read-a-thon. I am also listening to more audiobooks so that I can participate in more of the challenges.
I am now reading The Sky Devil (Stories from the Golden Age) by L. Ron Hubbard on Audiobook CD. I chose Daughtry’s Rescue Me as my book tune.
I love a good puzzle. This challenge had me stumped for quick answers. I could only name half of them.
My laptop has been really evil today! I tried to post the picture from my camera and it wouldn’t load. I eventually gave up and posted a crazy shot using my tablet via Twitter.
I am now reading Under the Black Ensign (Stories from the Golden Age) by L. Ron Hubbard in paperback.

It is a good thing that I am reading a pirate book right now. Makes for lots of laughs with Mad Libs.
I couldn’t guess all of the books quickly. I answered four of them.
Hour 9 BookTube Mini-Challenge!
My laptop has been really evil today so I am not going to attempt to make a video. SMH.
I chose the book trailer for A Drizzle of Zombies (Book 1 of The Annals of Absurdity) by Joshua Price. I’ll be reading it later on tonight.
Taking a dinner break. I am gonna dig into the Barbecue Pulled Chicken that I made yesterday using a recipe from Jillian Michaels.
Hour 11 Mini-Challenge! The Self-Portrait!
My tablet is charging. No photos for me right now.
** I have a book giveaway that ends today. Please take a moment and enter to win a great book. Isn’t the cover lovely?
