March 14 is Pi Day! The number π (sometimes written has pi) is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. It is approximately equal to 3.14159. Found in many branches of math and science, I specifically remember being tortured by π in trigonometry, geometry, and statistics. The devil has a holiday! I am considering giving pi another chance by reading The Joy of Pi.
Have you read it?
By the way, I read Killer Stuff by Sharon Fiffer to fulfill task #20.2 of The Seasonal Reading Challenge (Rookie At the Top- Ty’s task: Pi Day). I chose option 1: read a book whose page count include digits from the first 10 digits of pi (3.141592653). The paperback version of Killer Stuff has 336 pages.
